Location: Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, British Columbia Project Type: Engineering and design of two-story steel building Client: BC Ferry Corporation

Description:

VJA engineered and designed the new foot passenger building at BC Ferry Corporation's Tsawwassen terminal to be multi-functional. The structure houses ticket sale facilities and direct overhead walkway access to the ferry berths. In addition, the second story of the building contains terminal administration offices.

The structure itself, with its steel beams and columns, and light concrete floors, is designed as a post-disaster building with respect to earthquakes.
