Description:

VJA was retained to conduct a computer analysis and develop the structural design for a radial stacker for use by Weyerhaeuser Saskatchewan. Industrial Equipment Co. Ltd. acted as general contractor for the project.

The 210' radial stacker is to be used for stacking wood chips at the Saskatchewan plant. The stacker can rotate about the pivot and loading point, and the stacker boom can be raised and lowered by a triple multi-part winch system operating from one double drum winch.
