Small Hydroelectric Project
Description:The project included an intake structure with the Coanda Screen, a bypass channel, and a water chamber, all constructed at elevation +823m. A powerhouse was constructed at elavation +540m, approximately 4.4km down the river. A penstock, consisting of steel pipes on the lower runs, with plastic pipes on the upper runs, directs the water from the water chamber to the turbines in the powerhouse. VJA was responsible for the design of all civil structures at the intake location as well as at the powerhouse location. In addition, VJA was responsible for the design of the penstock will all bends and thrust blocks.
