Description:

As a part of Fisheries & Oceans, Small Craft Harbours Branch (SCHB), ongoing evaluation and modernization of harbour facilities in British Columbia, a number of SCHB harbours have been studied and the results compiled in planning reports for various facilities. VJA has been retained by Small Craft Harbours Branch to prepare Harbour Management Documents for Sointula, Alert Bay, Ucluelet, and Tofino.

Prime features of the work include an assessment of current and future needs and demands of the harbour facilities, planning of feasible options for long term maintenance and upgrading of the harbours, and evaluation of potential environmental concerns for future developments.
